LG announced the sequel to their famous Optimus 2X the LG Optimus 4X, while Huawei announced the arrival of the Huawei Ascend D Quad XL. Both of these smartphones created a huge noise during the Mobile World Congress 2012 because of their powerful Quad-Core processors.

Yes, we are no longer talking about Dual-Core handsets here, we are talking of the next big thing for this year. Yes, this is the year of Quad-Core processors on a mobile phone. The fact is both of these handsets are running on a Quad-Core processor. Both of these handsets are due to be released come second Quarter of this year. Even if that is the case, they are still considered as today's most powerful and fastest handsets.
