There is no question that the Samsung Galaxy S2 was one of the smartphone success stories of 2011. This powerful mobile device has sold over 20 million units and still offers specification that eclipses what many new models can offer. In a bid to keep ahead of rival manufacturers the company how now unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S3, the successor to the popular S2. We compare the two devices to see how they differ in terms of screen technology and design.

One area where there are some big differences between the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the S2 is screen technology. The S2 features a large 4.3 inch screen which uses Samsung's own Super AMOLED technology to produce some of the best image quality currently available. The model offers users a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels which means that 217 pixels can be displayed per inch. The new S3 model has raised the bar in this department by not only increasing the size of the display but also the resolution that it can offer. The new model features a very large 4.8 inch screen which is only slightly smaller than the massive display offered on the popular Galaxy Note. This improved quality has a major effect on the pixel density which increases to an excellent 306 pixels per inch. This may be just short of what the iPhone 4S can offer but for a screen of this size this figure is really very impressive. In terms of screen technology the new S3 not only features a larger display but also one that totally eclipses it predecessor for technology.

When it comes to design we find that these two devices are a little more evenly matched. One area where we hoped that the Samsung Galaxy S3 would improve on the S2 was by using less plastic in the construction of the phones chassis but sadly this is still the main material and therefore the phone feels less robust than rival handsets like the iPhone 4S and the HTC One X. Despite offering a much larger display the new S3 manages to squeeze it into a body that is not much larger than the S2 thanks to a very slim bezel that surrounds the screen. The new handset boasts a design that features more curves than the S2 which will please some consumers although those who favour a more angular design may prefer the older device. The S2 is available in a black or white finish but interestingly the traditional black option is not available with the new model. Users are given the choice of an attractive blue finish or a white variant.

The new Samsung Galaxy S3 is a superb new phone that is superior to its predecessor in terms of screen technology. When it comes to design and build quality however the model offers no dramatic improvements over the very stylish Galaxy S2.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 is arguably the best Android phone out there (except maybe for the new releases from Samsung and HTC) but certainly the most popular. We are all lucky to have witnessed the release of the Sony only brand handset the Sony Xperia S this year. We are also all lucky to have been graced with one of the most powerful and best-selling smartphone to date, and I am talking about the Samsung Galaxy S2. In this article, we will try to pit two of these handsets against each other. In short, I will try to compare them and tell you why they both deserve your attention. Read on!

Now, it is quite obvious that Sony bags the title for better and powerful primary camera. Samsung on the other hand, wins the title for better front-facing camera.

Both of these handsets originally shipped with Android Gingerbread. However, the Galaxy S2 is now upgradable to the latest Android Iteration the Ice Cream Sandwich. On the other hand, the Xperia S is still waiting for its Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade. Another point goes to Samsung for getting the much awaited Ice Cream Sandwich update ahead of Sony.

If you look at the main features of these handsets, it is not that quite hard to believe why they are so famous and loved right now. They have the processing prowess that mobile phone users are into right now. They also have good shutters that we all use on a daily basis.

Samsung announced the arrival of their latest projector phone back in February. HTC on the other hand announced the arrival of their "One" series on that same month. Now, I am talking about the Samsung Galaxy Beam (Samsung's second projector phone) and the HTC One V (one of the members of the HTC One trilogy). In this article, I will compare these handsets and see if they can beat each other or match each other. I will begin with Samsung and then end the comparison note with HTC. Read on!

Let's start my comparison note with dimensions and weight. The actual dimensions of the Beam are at 124 x 64.2 x 12.5mm and it weighs in at 145.3 grams only. On the other side, the dimensions of the One V are at 120.3 x 59.7 x 9.2mm and it weighs in at 115 grams only. When it comes to packing a bigger handset, I give Samsung a good one point. When it comes to packing a lighter handset, a good point goes to HTC.

Moving on, let's talk about display screens. Samsung shipped its handset with 4" TFT touch screen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and pixel density of 233 ppi. HTC on the other hand packed its handset with 3.7" touch screen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and pixel density of 252 ppi. We all want a bigger screened handset, and for that I give a whole good point to Samsung for coming up with a 4" display. But on the other hand, HTC packed its smaller screened handset with more pixel density. And for that, I give HTC a whole good point as well.

Let's now compare their processors and memory capacity. Samsung packed its handset with Cortex-A9 dual-core processor which clocks at a speed rate of 1GHz. It also ships with 8GB worth of storage and 768MB worth of RAM. Plus, you can also add more memory on this handset via its microSD card slot. You can add as much as 32GB worth of memory on this handset. HTC packed its handset with Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon chipset. It comes in with a single-core processor which clocks at a speed rate of 1GHz. You will also get 4GB worth of memory and 512MB worth of RAM. Like Samsung, you can add more memory on this handset via its microSD card slot. You can get as much as 32GB worth of memory for this handset. When it comes to packing its handset with a faster processor, I give Samsung another good one point. When it comes to packing its handset with more RAM and memory storage, I give two good points to Samsung.

To sum up my comparison note, Samsung bagged a good 5 points and HTC bagged 2 good points. The winner is quite obvious, Samsung gather enough points to declare it as the winner in this comparison note of mine.

There is no question that the Samsung Galaxy S2 was the best mobile handset of 2011. The new iPhone 5 will also feature an improved version of the Siri software which should push Apple further ahead of Samsung in this department. When Apple introduced the iPhone 4S many consumers wished for a new design but the developers opted to use the same chassis as the iPhone 4 which was launched in 2010. The new Galaxy S3 does feature a new design but one that many people feel is inferior to its predecessor. The phone does not feel as well built as the S2 and it also offers more generic looks that puts it in line with numerous other phones. The iPhone 4 was one of the nicest looking phones ever released and the decision not to change the design was actually no bad thing. Apple pride themselves on their design and when the new handset is launched later this year it is sure to improve on the 4S with high quality metals likely to be used in its construction. This will see the Apple handset appeal to consumers much more than the new Galaxy S3.

One area where the new Samsung Galaxy S3 does impress is in the processing department thanks to the powerful new Exynos 4212 quad core chipset that it incorporates. We do however expect the new iPhone 5 to compare well against this model in this department. The Apple iOS is a very power efficient operating system and we saw with the iPhone 4S that the platform can outperform the majority of Android powered devices. The new model will definitely feature a larger screen along with 4G connectivity and therefore a boost in processing power may well be required. There is some talk that Apple will continue with their use of the A5 chipset although it looks more likely that the model will feature the new A6 architecture. This set up will boast quad cores and should ensure that the new Apple phone is one of the very best for operating speeds.

The launch of the new Samsung Galaxy S3 seems to have left a void in the smartphone market that needs to be filled. Many people expected the model to be the ultimate mobile smartphone but these expectations proved to be a little high. The phone is very good but it is comparable with other excellent devices like the HTC One X and the Sony Xperia S. February of 2012, Samsung announced the latest Galaxy member and the sequel to their mid-range handset the Galaxy Ace. In this article I will talk about these two new and up and coming Android phones, the Sony Xperia Sola and the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2. I will start my comparison note with the Sony Xperia Sola followed by the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2. Read on!

Let us talk about display screens and how these two handsets match up with each other. The Xperia Sola packs a 3.7" capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels and pixel density of 265 ppi. It comes in with a latest technology called the "Floating Touch". On the other hand, the Galaxy Ace 2 packs a 3.8" PLS TFT capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and pixel density of 246 ppi. This handset may not have the floating touch but it comes packed with TouchWiz version 3.0 User Interface. When it comes to packing the biggest display screen, I give Sony a whole good point. But when it comes to packing the handset with more screen resolution and higher pixel density, I give Sony a whole good point as well. I guess, they are quite even when it comes to this category.

Let us now move on to processors and memory capacity. Sony packed its handset with a dual-core processor which clocks at a speed rate of 1GHz. Let us now talk about their OS. Sony packed its handset with Android Gingerbread but this is upgradeable to the latest Android Iteration in the near future. On the other hand, Samsung packed its handset with the same Android Gingerbread for its OS. But there is no planned upgrade for this handset. When it comes to OS, they are both even. But this case won't be for too long because Sony planned an upgrade for its OS in the near future.

As you can see, they are both winners. They may have minor differences but, they are still both winners.

In this article, I will compare the latest Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 to its predecessor the famous Galaxy Ace and see how they match up against each other. Please allow me to start with their display screens. The successor packs a 3.8" PLS TFT touch screen and it is packed with a screen resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It also comes in with 246 ppi for its pixel density. On the other hand, its predecessor packs a 3.5" TFT capacitive touch screen with screen resolution of 320 x 480 pixels and comes in with 165ppi for its pixel density. It is quite obvious as to who wins this round when it comes to packing a bigger screen and higher number when it comes to screen resolution. And for that, I will give the successor one point for this.

Let's move on to dimensions and weight. The actual dimensions of the successor are at 118.3 x 62.2 x 10.5mm and it weighs in at 122 grams only. The Ace on the other hand is at 112.4 x 59.9 x 11.5mm and it weighs in at 113 grams only. As you can see, the latest version is bigger and heavier than its predecessor. For that, I give another good point to the upgraded successor.

Let's now talk about processors and their memory storage capacity. The successor runs with a powerful dual-core processor. It clocks at an amazing speed rate of 800MHz and used Mali 400MP GPU. It also comes in with 4GB worth of memory storage capacity and 768MB worth of RAM. You can also choose to add more memory via the phone's microSD card slot. In addition, you can add as much as 32GB worth of memory on this handset. The predecessor runs on single-core processor (ARM11) which clocks at a speed rate of 800MHz and uses Adreno 200 GPU. You will also get 158MB worth of memory storage and 278MB worth of RAM. You can also add more memory via its microSD card slot. You can add as much as 32GB worth of memory storage on this handset. It comes in with 2GB more of free storage. Again, the upgraded Galaxy Ace 2 bags another point for packing a powerful dual-core processor as opposed to the single-core processor of its predecessor.

These two handsets are pre-installed with Android Gingerbread (Android version 2.3) for their OS. Sadly, both of these handsets are not up for an upgrade to the latest Android Iteration the Ice Cream Sandwich. But the good news is, you can enjoy its Android OS like other high-end smartphones with the same OS.

While reading a brief note in one of the tech briefings today, it was announced that Apple was trying to squeeze its iPad into the iPad mini and after looking at and using Samsung's Galaxy NT-7000 Unlocked Quad Band smartphone, we can easily see why.

First we'll give you a look at the basics you'll find with the Samsung and the first is a dual core 1.4 GHz processor whose Android 2.3.0 (Gingerbread version) software gives you access to somewhere around 200,000 apps that do not lock you into a proprietary operating system such as Apple has done with its 300,000 or so apps and the latest version of its iPad.

In this case, though, you will find that the competition that Apple rightly fears comes from Samsung which is clearly aiming at the market leader by delivering a high-resolution device (the superAMOLED 1280 by 800 resolution display) that easily delivers bright colors and good contrast so that you can not only use the NT-7000 as a tablet, but you can also take advantage of its dual-camera capability -- an 8 MP rearward facing autofocus camera and 2 MP forward-facing camera that allows you to use your NT-7000 for real videoconferencing where you see more than just little outlines and squiggles. You can actually see a Project slide easily and interact with other folks in your group.

Not only that, you have the ability to either use a standard texting keyboard, if you want to go that way or, if you prefer, you can use the display and a stylus that will not only allow you to circle areas of your screen and have them show up on the other end, but you can use it to tap out your messages, which does prevent the aching thumbs that come with too much texting.

Plus, the superAMOLED touchscreen does allow you to expand and contract thumbnails and other images so you can either show your friends the photos you have received or you can let others involved in your project see exactly what you want.

The NT-7000 is an unlocked multi-band device that allows you to work with the ISP of your choice. For example, if you are content using the 800, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz band favored by GSM-serving ISPs then you can use this device which offers all of the WiFi standards a/b/g/n. This means that you can not only have high-speed WiFi because the n standard allows the pairing of upstream and downstream channels, but you can also use the other bands offered by the ISPs offering HSPDA/EDGE 850, 1900 and 2100 MHz so you have another way of obtaining your data.

Best of all, the voice reception is clear and with the right app, you can even set up your phone for any of the online music services as the Android operating systems seems to be daily offering more and more streaming video and audio capability.

Apple had better be watching over its shoulder closely when folks like Samsung offer devices that are not only tablets, but also smartphones and superfast cameras in a package that is about 6 inches by 7 inches by 0.38 inches and that weight only 6 ounces because this is the heart of Apple's market.
