The LG Optimus 4X HD And Huawei Ascend D Quad XL

During the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 held in Barcelona Spain, two of the biggest names in the mobile industry announced their newest device line up. I am talking about big wigs, LG and Huawei. LG announced the sequel to their famous Optimus 2X the LG Optimus 4X, while Huawei announced the arrival of the Huawei Ascend D Quad XL. Both of these smartphones created a huge noise during the Mobile World Congress 2012 because of their powerful Quad-Core processors.

Yes, we are no longer talking about Dual-Core handsets here, we are talking of the next big thing for this year. Yes, this is the year of Quad-Core processors on a mobile phone. In this article, we will talk about how these two super fast phones were able to wow the audience during the MWC 2012. I will tell you all about their powerful assets. Read on.
LG Optimus 4X
Display Screens
- The Optimus 4X HD sports a whopping 4.7" HD - IPS LCD capacitive touch screen (16 Million colors) with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and with a pixel density of 312 ppi.
- The Ascend D Quad XL sports a huge 4.5" IPS+ LCD capacitive touch screen (16 Million colors) with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and with a pixel density of 326 ppi.

Cameras
- The Optimus 4X HD ships with an 8MP shutter with a resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. It comes with an LED flash and auto-focus. It comes with a 1.3MP front-facing shutter. This phone can record videos at 1080p and at 30 frames per second (fps).
- The Ascend D Quad XL ships with an 8MP shutter with a resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. It comes with auto-focus and dual LED flash. Its 1.3MP front-facing camera comes in with a resolution of 720 pixels. Video recording is at 1080 pixels and at 30 frames per second (fps).

Processors
- The Optimus 4X HD is powered by the famous Nvidia Tegra 3. The handset ships with a 1.5Ghz Quad-Core Cortex-A9 processor. This is LG's most powerful handset to date.
- The Ascend D Quad XL is powered by Huawei's very own K3V2 chipset, and it clocks at 1.5GHz. The phone's Quad-Core processor is enough to make other famous names out there to make a run for their money.

To top off all of the features mentioned above, both of these handsets are running on the latest Android Iteration the Ice Cream Sandwich. Yes, these handsets are packed with a powerful 8MP camera and feature the same camera resolution. LG may have scored a point by coming up with a bigger screen (well a mere.2"), but they have the same resolution as well.

The fact is both of these handsets are running on a Quad-Core processor. Both of these handsets are due to be released come second Quarter of this year. Even if that is the case, they are still considered as today's most powerful and fastest handsets.
