Huawei unleashed a couple of handsets during the Mobile World Congress 2012 (Barcelona, Spain). Two of Huawei's most powerful handsets are sporting powerful and fastest Quad-Core processors; they are the Huawei Ascend D Quad and the Huawei Ascend D Quad XL. Let us try to find out more about these two handsets and why they were able to impress a lot of people who attended the said event. Read on.

We all have witnessed what the powerful dual-core can do to a handset. We have seen and witnessed what the Samsung Galaxy S2 and LG Optimus 2X are capable of giving us. So what more if we are face to face with the new quad-core processor? I am sure that you will be able to forget all about the good things that your dual-core handsets were able to give you.

So what is so remarkable about these two new handsets by Huawei? Well, for one, as I've mentioned earlier they are both sporting K3V2 Quad-Core processors made by Huawei. The Ascend D Quad's processor clocks at 1.2Ghz while the Ascend D Quad XL's processor clocks at 1.5GHz. You can say that the latter is a bit faster than its sibling.

Aside from their powerful Quad-Core processors, both of these handsets sport a whopping 4.5" IPS+ LCD capacitive touch screens. They may not have an AMOLED screen, but they are sporting the latest display screen technology that you can compete with it.

You want to know more? I have more. Yes, these two handsets are running on the latest Android Iteration (Android 4.0 or the Ice Cream Sandwich). You no longer have to deal with older Android OS; with these handsets you will taste the power of an Ice Cream Sandwich. One of the best new features of the said Android OS is its FaceUnlock. This feature will allow you to unlock the handset without touching the phone's screen or pushing any buttons. Yes this phone will unlock itself as soon as it recognizes your face through the phone's camera, and via your stored images (phone files). What is more, the phone's overall performance will be enhanced by the said OS.

Another cool feature of these handsets is their 8MP shutters. Both are with a resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels and dual-LED flash. They also have the same 1.3MP (720p) front-facing shutter. It can record videos at 1080 pixels and at 30 frames per second (fps).

If these handsets are really fast on their own right now, what more if their Quad-Core processors and their Ice Cream Sandwich OS joined forces? I am sure that you will have the best mobile experience ever.

These handsets were able to turn heads during the MWC 2012, and I am sure that you are also salivating over the juicy yet brief details that I gave you. Well, worry no more! The Huawei Ascend D Quad and Ascend D Quad XL are due to land second Quarter of this year to a store near you.
