HTC One X S720E With Beats Audio Unlocked GSM Android SmartPhone

The HTC One X S720E is an unlocked quad-band smartphone that is powered by a 1.56 GHz quad-core processor. It also comes standard with 32 GB of memory, of which 26 GB are user-configurable.

The 4.7-inch display is completely configurable. It is a Super IPS LCD2 capacitive-touch system that features 16 bright, high-contrast colors that are, however, the resolution on this smartphone is very good at 1280 by 720 pixels.

Notice something about the resolution of the display. Though it is a 16-color display, it also runs in native high-definition mode which means that you can mix and match the color palette in ways that others, that aren't the HTC, can not do.

For example, you can configure an image so that the shades of black are very rich and highlight exactly the features you want highlighted. For example, if you are running a digital clock and the top needs to be super-black, then you can configure the screen to reflect that feature. Meantime, if you want a high-white touch keyboard at the bottom so you can send texts and emails, you can choose from any of the several hundred thousand Android apps that are available through Android Apps or through Google and you can have the keyboard you need.

Realize, though, that even the best capacitive touch screen is no match for a dedicated screen so you will have to realize that you won't be doing any touch-typing with that keyboard. Instead, you will probably use a stylus or your thumbs to send the text or email.

Interestingly, there is supposed to be an Android-based browser headed toward the HTC so you will have an instantly compatible browser available from the start. Still, it hasn't yet arrived, even though the equivalent can be found with Google's Chrome which is already available on Google and which is compatible with the Android system.

When all is said and done, the key feature that you will be thankful you have is the 1.56 GHz quad processor CPU. The reason is this. HTC was supposed to hit the market with this little goodie about a year ago but there were many delays and many reasons for those delays. One of the persistent rumors was that the engineers at Android and Google were not only making the fit between them tighter, they were also optimizing the operating system so that each processor can take advantage of a data stream.

In effect, you have four separate computers running at nearly 1.6 GHz ad your fingertips. That makes this a very fast unit, although with all of the power the battery is called on to supply there is some question about how much power you will have without a charger cable installed. (Today's charger cables are usually also HDMI interface cables so you will likely be able to interface your HDTV or high-def sound system with the HTC One).

Indeed, that is one of the areas that HTC is pushing right now and with good reason. Not only does the Beats Access sound software provide fine fidelity, you can also interface it with your TV set's system so you can have some serious sound and if you are running a 3D app, you can use the HTC One as the engine for the streaming video.

You also have the ability to interface Bluetooth sound with the HTC One, truly another advantage.

Altogether this is a very impressive system that has access to voice apps, memo apps, calendar apps, voice control apps and much much more.

At its heart, though, this is still an Internet-capable phone and the HTC doesn't shrink from this duty, either whether it's providing a hotspot for several devices to running all of the WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n standards which means that if you are running 802.11/n you have the ability to double up on the input and output channels to increase your speed.

The HTC One, which is compatible with GSM, EDGE, and HSPDA is a dual multi-band phone that will operate either on 800, 1800 or 1900 MHz on GSM and on HSDPA on 850, 900, 1900 and 3100 MHz. On the whole, sold unlocked, it is quite a contender whoever you choose as your ISP.
