Sony Xperia S Champion Of The NXT Series

We were all surprised when Sony parted ways with Ericsson. But we were all shocked when Sony released its first Sony only branded handset the Sony Xperia S. Back in January of this year, the arrival of this new handset was announced by Sony. Today, this is still known as the Xperia Series flagship and the current champion of the NXT series. In this article, let's all get to know this handset and its offerings. Read on!

The Xperia S is packed with a tack-sharp 720 x 1280 pixels display screen and it comes in with an amazing 12MP rear shutter (4000 x 3000 pixels). This is also the basis for the Xperia line design trend. We all have witnessed the old Sony Ericsson Xperia line, but the release of this handset brings massive enhancements to it.

Even though this handset came out in the time of handsets with Quad-Core processors and latest Android Iteration (Ice Cream Sandwich), you will still be amazed at how Sony was able to give a strong fight against new-fangled flagships of today.

Even if the latest Android OS update is just looming around the corner, other smartphones and flagships out there are not equipped with a 4.3" LED-backlit capacitive touch screen with 16 Million colors. The phone's screen resolution is at 720 x 1280 pixels (342 ppi pixel density). Others are also without a 12MP rear-facing shutter but this handset is equipped with one and it can record videos in full-HD at 1080 pixels and at 30 frames per second. It also comes in with a 1.3MP front-facing shutter (720 pixels). These features alone are enough to beat new-fangled flagships and upper mid-range handsets out there. But then again, this handset is more than just its amazing screen and its powerful camera. There are other exciting features that you will love on this handset.

Speaking of which, let me tell you about its amazing design. Yes, this handset is packed with a transparent strip that lights up whenever you receive notifications. It is also a handset with an extreme futuristic design. When it comes to dimensions, this handset simply stands out. With its 128 x 64 x 10.6 mm built, this is something that will truly amaze you. The phone weighs in at 144 grams only. It is absolutely light and slim.

This handset is also packed with extra value when it comes to software and hardware. This handset is NFC enabled and it comes in with two smart tags (in the box) and extensive app for support as well. You will also get a 32GB worth of internal storage on this handset. You may not be able to add more, but then again it is quite big enough for all of your files.

As you can see, these are the very reasons why the Sony Xperia S is the champion of the NXT series.
