Sony Xperia P - A Real Gem

During the CES 2012, Sony unveiled the Sony Xperia S. This is also Sony's first handset after parting ways with Ericsson. After that during the MWC 2012, Sony added two more Xperia line handsets, they are the Sony Xperia P and Sony Xperia U. These handsets are known as Mid-Range Android handsets. In this article, we will talk about the Sony Xperia P. Read on!

Let us start with the phone's display. This handset packs a 4" screen that is equipped with Sony's Reality Display technology and Sony's WhiteMagic. The WhiteMagic is capable of allowing you to see the phone's screen even under bright and direct sunlight. The phone's screen is a bit smaller than its sibling the Xperia S which boasts a 4.3" display. But then again, this is easier to pocket than its sibling. Sony uses their Mobile Bravia Engine on the phone's display. This is also the very same technology that Sony uses for their televisions. The phone's screen colors are vibrant and glossy too.

When it comes to the phone's design, this handset shares the same design as its sibling the Xperia S. As we all know, the Xperia S is the flagship for the Xperia Series or line. In this handset, you will see that familiar looking transparent strip located at the bottom part of the phone. This is also known to signal you whenever you get phone calls and text messaged. It can do so by lighting up that transparent strip. This handset also features an aluminum unibody case. If you think that the Xperia S and Xperia U are better than this, then think again. The phone's siblings are using plastic unibody case. The phone's metal design makes this handset lighter and yet it gives you that sturdy feel that is quite hard to find on smartphones today. The Xperia P is also thin.

The handset currently runs on Android Gingerbread. But do not let that put you down. This handset will soon get the famous Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade. This handset packs a powerful dual-core processor which clocks at an amazing 1GHz speed. Everything on this handset runs smoothly and fast. This handset packs an 8MP Shutter with a resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. The phone's video recording is at 1080 pixels and at 30 frames per second (fps).

As you can see, these are just some of the reasons why this Sony Xperia P is considered as a gem. It is packed with features that no ordinary Mid-Range Android handsets can offer you.
